Hoop Girlz River has her heart set on becoming a player in the WNBA. So when she hears about the A-Team, a new basketball team for young girls coached by a former pro ballplayer, she's determined to make the squad. But the tryouts don't go as expected--River loses a one-on-one to Kammie, her aggressive neighbor. Still she's shocked the next day when she finds herself on the B-Team along with girls like Wilfred, who's afraid of everything, semi pro basketball team and Jennifer who uses a wheelchair. Insulted semi pro basketball team and hurt, River decides to sit this one out. But her hunger for basketball gets the better of her semi pro basketball team and she decides to take matters into her own hands. The first thing to go: the humiliating name--B-Team.
